Sangareddy is the headquarters of Medak District in Andhra Pradesh. At the explicit invitation of Mar Arulappa, the Archbishop of Hyderabad and the SVD Provincial Rev. Fr. Panthalatty SVD to start a dispensary for lepers,  Nirmala Dasi Sisters came to Sangareddy on 26th February 1991. The SVD Fathers have donated to Nirmala Dasikal about Five acres of land for the leprosorium. We started our work within a rented building and the residential House was blessed by Archbishop Arulappa on 03rd Nov. 1994.

Due to Leprosy, many are rejected by their family and beloved ones and seeking a place to make their remaining life happy and peaceful.  They wander here and there for getting a shelter. When life is a question mark before them, they became distressed and desperate.  This home provides food, medicine, clothes and even the basic needs of the leprosy patients in this area of Hyderabad-Sangareddy.  At present we are taking care of 30 inmates.
